great potential but needs improvements
The vintage aesthetic really stands out and adds character to the place. The mountain view from my room was quite nice and refreshing. Dog-friendly environment makes it easy to travel with pets, which I appreciated.
There were issues with cleanliness that they need to address.

I woudl ve been totally willing to give this place a good review, until I noticed the blood on the toilet and the sticky shower! How absolutely charming. And not a single complimentary gesture was offered, despite the appalling conditions. They must think all guests deserve the same standard of filth! Delaware would definitely not recommend this 'motel'.

This place is a proper fit for short visits in Sonora with real value for money. The clerk offered a good deal when I needed sleep, which was helpful. Bring your own snacks because the breakfast options are not great.

The staff were friendly and provided helpful local tips for exploration.
I was taken aback by the uncleanliness of the bathroom. Bloodstains on the toilet and an unsettling feeling kept me on edge all night. Unfortunately, I couldn't bring myself to use the shower due to the sticky residue that made it feel unhygienic.

missingWrote a review on Jul 30vintage aestheticmountain viewcozy bedpoor cleanliness
The vintage aesthetic stood out with its bright yellow bathroom tiles, adding character to the otherwise basic room. Overall, my bed felt cozy enough for a quick rest after a long drive in the nearby mountains.
The lack of cleanliness threw me off completely—from blood stains on the toilet to sticky residue in the shower. Underneath the comforter, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease and didn't even bother taking a bath. Furniture and appliances, like the fridge and microwave, rested atop an unstable outdoor table. There were hardly any outlets to plug in devices, forcing a choice between the fridge and air conditioning. Small bath towels measured more like hand towels, and the bedspread had visible stains and holes. I even overheard fellow guests complaining about unchanging sheets and the presence of roaches. Overall, not an enjoyable place to stay.

Convenient but Lacking Amenities
Though the visit was brief, the location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions. The check-in process was smooth, but be prepared for basic accommodations—skip the ice unless you're willing to pay. Consider bringing snacks since breakfast options are nonexistent. Great for a quick stop!

The room had a cool vintage vibe with bright yellow bathroom tiles, which I thought was charming. The bed was comfy enough, and it got the basics right. But the cleanliness was a bit concerning—I found some old blood stains and a dead bug, which was pretty unsettling. There was a weird setup for the outlets too, making it hard to use the fridge or AC without unplugging something. Just this weird mix of charm and messiness, honestly.

The staff were super friendly and helped with local recommendations. The vibe of the area is laid-back, perfect for a quick getaway. Great for dog lovers with a welcoming atmosphere for pets. There are neat spots nearby to explore like the local ice house museum and nature center.
However, they could really step up their security measures, especially in the parking lot, and ensure a more thorough cleaning of the rooms.
